Two Dutch teams prepare for YOG

 
Amsterdam, Netherlands, August 24, 2018 - Two teams will represent the Netherlands at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina from October 7 to 17. Yorick de Groot and Matthew Immers will participate in the men's competition and Raisa Schoon and Emi van Driel will represent the European country in the women's tournament.

De Groot and Immers will play at the Youth Olympic Games following their participation in the Youth Continental Cup, in which they played a preliminary round in 2017 and a final in 2018. Schoon and van Driel did not secure their place via the Youth Continental Cup but earned a silver at the FIVB Beach Volleyball U19 World Championships in Nanjing, China in July 2018.

Beach volleyball at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires will take place at Greek Park. Located in the north of the city, it is one of the greenest areas in the Argentine capital. Click here to read more about this year's YOG.
